SBHS's new DECA Chapter Competes at Nationals

DECA is an organization that helps high school students prepare for college and careers through co-curricular programs that integrate into classroom instruction, applying learning in the context of business, connecting to business and the community and promoting competition. SBHS's top DECA students competed against 14,000 other students from all 50 states and 8 foreign countries. The SB students competing were Forrest Scharmer, Cody Yu, Avni Nahar, Riya Patel, and Brandon Philbrick.  These students did extremely well and in fact, Avni Nahar scored in the top 10 of her event (competing against 360 others).  This is the first time in more than 6 years that a VT student has been on the final awards stage!
