TIE Host Families Needed
TIE (The International Experience) is looking for host families for exchange students from Spain and Germany! The students are here for approximately 2 ½ weeks at the beginning of the next academic year. This is a wonderful, culturally enriching experience for those involved. Some things to know about hosting:
- There is a welcome and farewell banquet that we request families attend (usually they are pot-luck)
- Visiting students arrive in school with their hosts each day and either participate in a planned activity or shadow in classes
- There will be one weekend that has a planned activity for the group and one weekend that is free for families to do what they like
- Some days we ask for a bag lunch to be provided and on other days they eat here at school (TIE pays for the lunch here at school)
- If your son/daughter has an after school commitment (sports, work etc) we ask that you make arrangements with someone else in the group to host your exchange student. You would have a list with students and parents and phone numbers
